I purchased this book to gather more information on the Order of the Eastern Star, a branch of the Masonic Lodge. It provides the ceremonies that are used at the meetings and gives you a very good perspective of what the OES is about. If you are interested in joining and want some more information I would recommend this book.

F.A. Bell is informative about the Order of the Eastern Star. It has the origins of the Order, a very brief history and includes many of the secrets shared within the order. Many of the chapters are quite short, yet organized in a way to understand the organization. The author's explanation of the symbols and basis for the symbols helps in grasping its meaning. I strongly recommend this book, since there is very little in the literature about the Order of the Eastern Star.

If you're studying to better perfect ceremony or just studying, it's a great read. If you're interested in this book because you're looking for secrets, you will not find them. Overall this is an excellent book.

This is an original ritual for OES before it was OES. Fascinating to read but I was hoping for more about OES.

as a new member of the OES, this book is very useful in trying to study ... while it is not 100% the way things are done, it is enough to jog your memory, and to give you background as to they why's of some things
