Not at all what I thought it would be. I thought the cover picture was a needlepoint pattern featured in the book, but it is not. The cover is attractive, however, the inside needlepoint patterns are not. It is not worth returning so I'm going to donate it to the local library.
This is a wonderful book for anyone who has been to Charleston Farm, or who loves needlepoint. The photos are beautiful and the needlepoint patterns are too. The brief history of the Bloomsbury group is also wonderful. I highly recommend it.

I plan to try a needlework project from the book, but even if I don't it was well worth the read and has led me on to learn more about the Bloomsbury group.

I HAVE BEEN DELIGHTED WITH THIS BOOK. ALTHOUGH I HAVEN'T USED A PATTERN TO STITCH YET I HAVE READ THE BOOK FROM COVER TO COVER BECAUSE ITS LIKE A VISIT TO THE ARTISTS AND WRITERS THAT STIRRED UP THE IMAGINATION OF THE FIRST YEARS OF THE 2OTH CENTURY. IT SEEMS TO PICK UP WITH THE END OF THE ARTS AND CRAFTS MOVEMENT OF WILLIAM MORRIS' WHICH IS ENJOYING SUCH POPULARITY RIGHT NOW. THIS IS JUST AS INTERESTING
