I bought this book specifically for research into buttons from the 1400s-1600s time period. You would think that with a title like About Buttons - From 150 A.D. to the Present, there would be something in there. Not so! It begins with 18th century buttons. Looks like a fabulous book for anyone looking for 1750s on up, but do not spend your money if you are looking for earlier. There is no mention at all of earlier period buttons. This is getting shipped right back.
Very interesting book showing the many different buttons, what they are made of and what is valuable.
I sell buttons and this book is invaluable.
